For the Chicken:

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt & black pepper, to taste

For the Pasta & Three-Cheese Sauce:

12 oz penne pasta

3 tbsp butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ cups heavy cream

½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded

½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup reserved pasta water

Optional Garnish:

Fresh parsley, chopped

Extra Parmesan

Cracked black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Penne

Boil penne in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, drain, and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sear until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and keep warm.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Garlic Three-Cheese Sauce

In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Slowly whisk in mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan until smooth and velvety. Add red pepper flakes if desired.

Step 4: Combine Everything

Toss cooked penne into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for creaminess. Stir in chicken strips and let them soak in the cheesy garlic sauce.

Step 5: Serve & Garnish

Plate pasta, sprinkle with parsley, extra Parmesan, and cracked black pepper.
