Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prep Ribs: Preheat oven to 160°C (325°F). Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs (if present, by prying up an edge with a knife and pulling off).

Season: Rub ribs with olive oil, then sprinkle generously with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper on both sides.

Slow Cook: Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil (or in a roasting pan). Cover tightly with more foil. Bake for 2-3 hours, or until very tender.

Baste & Broil: Increase oven temperature to 200°C (400°F). Remove foil from ribs. Brush generously with BBQ sauce. Return to oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, basting occasionally, until sauce is caramelized and sticky. Alternatively, broil for a few minutes to char, watching closely to prevent burning.

Cook Fries: While ribs are finishing, cook frozen French fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy.

Serve: Let ribs rest for a few minutes, then cut into individual portions. Serve hot with crispy French fries on the side. Drizzle with extra BBQ sauce if desired.
